About Me
“You have to film like a cat jumps on the table: with just enough effort.” Robby Müller, NSC, BVK
Wu wei- the art of effortless action
These principles form the backbone of my philosophy to cinematography. I want my contribution to feel effortless, with a delicate, sensitive touch but deeply considered. I find joy in being free and remaining open to chance, in order to capture the spontaneous moments of magic. I also strive towards simplicity in my work, to help us get to the truth of an image, whatever form this may take.
I have previously worked in the camera department for four years, working my way up to 2nd Camera Assistant. I have extensive experience working with both 35mm and 16mm, as well as all digital formats. The highlight of my assisting career, was being able to load for one of my cinematography heros in Robbie Ryan BSC, ISC on a number of music videos.
I own an Aaton LTR S16mm camera with a vintage Cooke 10.4-52mm lens as well as a Red Komodo.
